Does anyone know who's behind it? It seems great, but a bit of a bolt from the blue.

Also, Spring's Fantasia looks to be a good one. Yasmina of Cairo and Aida Nour.

*sigh* looks like another year where the stars all come to the UK and I get giddy from excitement!

On a related note, anyone going to Raqs Britannia this year? Blackpool's just too far for my idea of fun, and I'm deeply suspicious that Blackpool sounds just the place to have crapped out old hotels like the armpit they held it in this year...

Hi Elle21.
Josephine Wise, her husband john, Irene Woods (Aladins Cave) & her husband are the organizers & initiators of the festival.
It looks as if this will be THE event next year in the UK!
Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally looking forward to it.

will anybody be in London in december for the Fantasia?
Happy dancing,
Sara

Jo Wise?!

I'm confoozled: isn't this a direct competitor to Fantasia? And why isn't it being touted as a JWAAD event?

Well, either way it's gonna be too big to miss, I keep palpitating when I think of so many "celebrities" under one roof in little old England, it's too much! And they haven't released the workshop listings yet!

Re Fantasia, I'm going to shop, but not attending anything else. You're teaching and performing there aren't you Sara (Abou Farhat)? I'll have to keep an eye out for you.

Sara (the yorkshire one!) this could be your big opportunity to come down south, you'd have to pass london on your way: stop by for a cuppa and I'll drive us the rest of the way! It's not the moors, but I'm sure we could do some bellydancing on the beaches instead!

Hi Taheya,
whats/where is "JOY"? Sounds interesting. Tito is fantastic, he was at the Dahab Festival in 2005 & I loved his workshops. He also does a great show.
Which workshop are you taking with me? I'm looking forward to meeting you - is Taheya your real name? Please do come and say hi .... or more

Happy dancing,
Sara Abou Farhat
