Wasn't that what this whole thread was about? Did I already tell you I love this thread?!
Shanazel, didn't you know "angstschreeuw" means "scream out of fear"? Will I even try to describe the pronunciation? Ok, "angst" is like the English word "angst", but the "a" sounds more like the "a" in "far", got it so far? Then, "ch" is a hard g-sound, "r" is more of a rolling r, "ee" sounds like when you say the letter "a" and "uw" is a w sound similar to the w in "ew", does that make sense? Don't you think it's lovely how we Dutch write words together? But aren't the people from Greenland even doing that with whole sentences? Isn't that even worse? Adiemus, do you think it's too late to start learning French now? |

Moon, do you find Dutch similar enough to German that it would be easy for someone who knows German to learn it? Or it's not so easy and simple as it looks from outside?
More existential doubts about languages: is Inglish di onli lengwidj dat is ilejibl wen rittun fonetikly?* *Is English the only language that is illegible when written phonetically? |

Moon? Would you say that the fellow in Munch's The Scream is exhibiting angstschreeuw? Or do you suppose the fellow simply has teenaged children? |

Zurah, why would Dutch be too difficult to be learned? Did you know I know 2 Germans who speak Dutch almost fluently (although they still have this cute German accent)?
And why would that sentence be illegible? Do you believe me when I say the only word I couldn't read immediately is "ilejibl"? Shanazel, did you ever see a better drawing of an angstschreeuw? ![]() |

You know I now have nightmares of angstschreeuw coming at me with fangs and hairy legs?
And that the angstschreeuw speaks french and german and dutch and american? Does anyone have an amulet with magical powers against the angstschreeuw? Why am I so plagued by this thing? Why do I itch to get onto photoshop and DRAW an angstschreeuw instead of typing angstschreeuw painfully, letter by letter?

![]() ![]() Is this what haunts your dreams? Do you need superpowers? Where are the BDPD when you need 'em? Did you know that I tried to find a hairier spider but couldn't bear to look at them even on the computer screen? How pathetic is that?

Adiemus, may I tell you I LOVE that picture?
Shall we forget about angstschreeuw? What about "hottentottententententoonstelling" instead? Do you think I must stop now? Adiemus, why is fear or hairy animals pathetic? Did you know I don't like big dogs and those are even hairier? |

Did you know I cannot possibly remember all the subjects to which I wanted to respond in this thread? Did you know I used to actually live with several angstschreeuw...s? Do you think you have the bravery to view some of them, such as this one: http://www.birdinghawaii.co.uk/Images/zzzcanespider.jpg
or this one: http://www.standupjetski.com/centipede2.jpg ? I presume you already know I am the BDPD, but will I protect you from these things?
