Shanazel, what makes you think you would win? Don't you know that I am a master at obscure words? Don't you also know that I am the constant winner of in-home Jeopardy?

Gilana, would you like to come to my house to play Scrabble since we are only a thousand miles or so apart? Do you know we'd probably have a lot of fun being obscure and erudite, indulging in a common passion for grandeloquent verbage and possibly even neologisms?

How many points do you get when you use the Q in English scrabble?

Doesn't Q in English get 10 points? And isn't Z also 10?

Moon, don't you know I am at work and don't have that information in front of me?

Do you agree with me it's not fair the Q is worth 10 points in English because this letter is quite commonly used? Or do you think the Q in Dutch scrabble should be worth more than 10 points?

Do you think the Rockies are passable by car right now, or do I have to take Amtrak? For neologisms could we use words like Raks Gothique? Do you have Starbucks there, or do I have to bring some with me?

Is there a 12 Step program for people who suffer from logolepsy?

Ah, Moon, don't you know that in order to use a Q in English you must almost always have a u as well? Do you know the only word I can think of using a q and no u is qat? Do you see how Q is a challenge in English?

Do you have special Dutch versions of Scrabble or are you doomed to use the English version for Dutch words?

Gilana, didn't you hear that Amtrak was pulled out of Wyoming twenty five years ago, and rerouted through Denver? Don't you suppose you could make a run down I-80 between blizzards, then brave your way north past the Freeze Out Mountains to get here? And sadly, yes, Starbucks has infiltrated central Wyoming, wouldn't you know it? Wouldn't you rather be wild and have a cup of the local brew instead? Do you know what "cowboy coffee"is?
