I've got a boring old filter machine which is OK if I get the right amount of coffee in it. And a little cafetiere which is only enough for one. Husband has an ancient percolator that was his mums and he was fascinated by it when he was little, so now we have it being ornamental and collecting dust in the kitchen.
My dad makes Proper Coffee by some mystic process involving saucepans and coffee pots and grounds - I do not think it involves eggs though. But then he's not a cowboy. ![]() |

Coffee party in bellydance costume? I can't sit down or I will break my beads! grr...
they should invent a costume you can sit down in. What, no absinthe? No Scotch? Not even wine? I am not a coffee drinker. Iced tea, anybody?

Hehe, coffee-proof costume, that would be such a hit.
![]() But actually, in my head, when we're all having a coffee party, we're all wearing galabeyas - pretty and comfortable. Maariku sitting in the office dreaming of a hot chocolate with red banana essence

How about some Irish coffee, Brea? The best of both worlds. Here, let me pour you a cupful and see if that doesn't take the chill off. I usually only drink a cup or two of coffee on the weekend, but I'll make an exception for Irish coffee on the upcoming 17th!
Ice tea would be fine, thank you. Southern girls can drink ice tea in a howling blizzard and feel perfectly content. My galabeya is perfectly lovely, by the way- emerald green and gold this morning, so watch those spills. |

I personally became obsessed with sweet tea years ago and everyone shakes their head at me because I drink it in the winter (drinking some now in fact). I never had a taste for any hot beverage. I like my drinks cold. And, true to the snob in me, I only drink Scottish whisky, but I will make an exception because of the hospitality, which no true Scot will turn down!
Sadly, I have no galabeya or coverup of any kind. I used to have...I wonder what on earth happened to it?! That's what comes from moving four times in one year! Oh, I'm sorry...six times...or maybe even seven? This has been a hectic year. Another Irish coffee please! Yeesh! I didn't realize until I just wrote that down! ![]()

Really?
Then I am wearing, every ten minutes or so, a different costume from Moulin Rouge! And also several from Dahlal. ![]()
