Actually I have seen something like that in Cambridge- I think girls were there to take pix with tourists...LOL

I'm also a huge Jane Austen fan! It's nice to "hear" from so many others!

Oh, Pride and Prejudice, easily! Though I can and have read all her works, over and over again. I very dearly love Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy, but I have to say my very favorite characters are Mrs. Bennett and Lady Catherine DeBourgh (I know I'm not spelling that right) - they add the true comedy to the work, I think.

I also love reading good books. I find myself at Barne's and Noble quite often sipping Starbucks coffee and reading a good book.

Anything sappy! lol I love romance novels like Danielle Steel. I also like Stephen King and many more. I am just too sick to think. I find myself browsing nursing books constantly, medical technology is constantly changing.

I like Barbara Kingsolver- The Poisonwood Bible was an astonishing piece of work.

I confess I have a hard time reading Miss Austen, despite her rapier wit- or maybe because of it. I fear she was much much smarter than me and I simply miss the point of the rapier too much of the time.

I loved Poisonwood Bible too!
My bf makes fun of me for only liking literature/film/music that is what he calls 'harrowing'.

LOL Makeda, I loved the character of Lady Catherine of P&P for the same reason... and I love Jane Austen too - funnily enough I just finished 'Persuasion' this weekend, the only time I can really sit down and read now, as on week nights I rarely fail to fall asleep with whatever book I'm reading in my hand (well, better than insomnia). I don't have a particular genre I prefer to others - in fact, I'm the kind of sick person that will reach for the instructions on how to put up the shelves from IKEA if there's nothing else to read at the moment.
