Scooter was a rejected sugar glider joey. I have raised kittens and puppies. I am open to help any animal.
This one kitten came to me. She was so sick and not moving very much and her owner didnt know what to do. She had colds in her eyes. When she left me she had gained some weight, her eyes had cleared up and she was up chasing toys around the house. Right now I have a speical needs glider that I take care of. She is on a speical diet. Last edited by sugarbelly; 10-31-2007 at 07:16 PM. |

KateNurse, Shanazel Thanks! I was a teenager then. My job was to hold the mother during her labour and to bath the baby, also cleaning up. Those were the days before beepers and cell phones so I kept the regular phone for the house in my room cause most calls came in at night. Mum's in labour are very strong! I got my share of lumps and a black eye! But the best bit is when the baby has arrived and the parents hold him or her, it such a magical moment. Ah..... memories!!

sugarbelly,
That is so cool that you raise orphaned animals!!!!!!! I love it!!! I have two cats: Both gray, both blind in one eye! They are not related!

Dear Group,
I once lived in a small campo and worked picking strawberries for a living. For much of the time, I was the only Wherra ( light skinned girl) in the field. I hitch-hiked to work every day. I had a small crush on a truly beautiful guy who's family called him Serritos. I always wondered what it meant. (Anybody here know?) My advice; don't eat ANY strawberries that you don't know for sure are organic. because the put some really NASTY insecticide on them in the field and then in the packing houses, they put them in these tents that are filled with preservative gas. I used to worry about the people who did that kind of work for years, how it affected them. Regards, A'isha |
