She does a lot of different styles. I've noticed that she does a lot of Turkish Rom so that's probably the tribally style you're referring to.
But I've seen her do lots of stuff, including Oriental Flamenco. Last edited by Maram; 06-23-2008 at 06:33 PM. Reason: typo |

Whenever I see a clip of Didem I think that is what Rachel Brice would look like if she didn't do tribal!
![]() Didem is technically brilliant but seems to just go from one tricky isolation thingy to the next, not always working with the music. Well that's my 2 cents worth! |

bellydance barbie
I love that term and will have to remember it. In regards to Didem although theres no doubting her technical ability I find her dances rather cold and lacking in emotion and feeling with the exception of her roman havasi's where her performance appears to flow more, and exclude warmth I also feel she smiles more in those performances. Oh,
I don't like this style at all. For me it always looks like she urgently needs the money when she dances. So look at all those egyptian dancers; they look like they are enjoying themselves. Didem infact seems like a bellydance barbie, absolutely! But luckily, art always is a matter of (different) taste. KR Salma |
