What style is she?? I know she performs on Turkish tv so thats pretty much a major give away (duhhhh) but some moves look tribally...slate me but I am just a beginner so just trying to find out whats what.

She is a good dancer and soooooooo gorgeous its just not fair!!!!!!!

She does a lot of different styles. I've noticed that she does a lot of Turkish Rom so that's probably the tribally style you're referring to.

But I've seen her do lots of stuff, including Oriental Flamenco.

Whenever I see a clip of Didem I think that is what Rachel Brice would look like if she didn't do tribal!
Didem is technically brilliant but seems to just go from one tricky isolation thingy to the next, not always working with the music.
Well that's my 2 cents worth!

She does do nice roman havasi though.
For the rest I agree with knitting Jo.

She does do nice roman havasi but outside of that bores me to death - like a bellydance barbie - pretty pretty but...yeah just pretty.

bellydance barbie I love that term and will have to remember it. In regards to Didem although theres no doubting her technical ability I find her dances rather cold and lacking in emotion and feeling with the exception of her roman havasi's where her performance appears to flow more, and exclude warmth I also feel she smiles more in those performances.

Oh,

I don't like this style at all. For me it always looks like she urgently needs the money when she dances.

So look at all those egyptian dancers; they look like they are enjoying themselves.

Didem infact seems like a bellydance barbie, absolutely!

But luckily, art always is a matter of (different) taste.
