She does a lot of different styles. I've noticed that she does a lot of Turkish Rom so that's probably the tribally style you're referring to.
But I've seen her do lots of stuff, including Oriental Flamenco. Last edited by Maram; 06-23-2008 at 06:33 PM. Reason: typo |

Whenever I see a clip of Didem I think that is what Rachel Brice would look like if she didn't do tribal!
![]() Didem is technically brilliant but seems to just go from one tricky isolation thingy to the next, not always working with the music. Well that's my 2 cents worth! |

bellydance barbie
I love that term and will have to remember it. In regards to Didem although theres no doubting her technical ability I find her dances rather cold and lacking in emotion and feeling with the exception of her roman havasi's where her performance appears to flow more, and exclude warmth I also feel she smiles more in those performances. Oh,
I don't like this style at all. For me it always looks like she urgently needs the money when she dances. So look at all those egyptian dancers; they look like they are enjoying themselves. Didem infact seems like a bellydance barbie, absolutely! But luckily, art always is a matter of (different) taste. KR Salma |

Didem is like a fresh raindrop. When she dances, it's a harmony of techniques, looks & feelings. It's always pleasant to see her dancing because she's enjoying what she does. But, have to agree. Sometimes she looks too choreographed. Cmon, give her some time.. She improves her expression with every new dance she does. I can see her professional growth
Well, let's see what will happen![]() Last edited by Amri_; 09-16-2008 at 05:35 AM. |
