Actually I got the idea from some Arab friends of mine. We were singing that cute song by Leila Nazmi, Mashrabshi el Shai and trying to replace the portions of the lyrics with various bad words. And I do understand the culture...more than I ever want to divulge on this forum. The song in question is about sex by the way, ironically enough...although veiled in symbolism. I was hoping someone would get the joke but I guess I offended someone, ya haram. By the way I took it off to be replaced with something less offensive but no less ammusing.

Default It did occur to me...

that you were yukking it up with some Arab friends and that's how you came up with it. And yes, I know the song you refer to. A lot of the cutesy songs are about sex. What allows people to listen to them is that the words are not taken directly from the scrawls on a bathroom stall. Use of words like that in a public forum exhibits a profound comtempt for the reader, and probably not just in the Arab world.
It doesn't bother you that you offended one of the little people on the forum... Cheesy middle-class values probably are just a joke to the big shots, right?

Now I'm just getting bored. It is quite obvious that I was just having a bit fun and I wasn't trying to convey any contempt for anyone. I honestly believe you are taking this completely out of proportion. I've changed the signature already for you benefit. Khalas!

Thank you for for efforts to preserve decency, danceswithblades.
Both forii ( dear me is that right or forums...which sounds terrible!) I belong to are concerned that belly dancers are seen to be respected and childish and nasty innuendo doesn't fit into that." My friend and I thought naughty scribbling on walls is kuellll"...mmmmm......I taught 12 year old like that!
No wonder saudi hackers might see us as beyond the pale if they can read such things.
Now I will sign off as I don't want to bore anyone or be thought of as holier than anyone
