Great clip! loved it very much.
The guy here is playing a proper drum called "cajon". It is used in flemenco dances. It is like a box and the drummer sits on top and plays it. It is a proper instrument not a piece of plywood Lydia,LOL!!!! Have a nice day!!!! |

Just like Janaki said, the name is "cajon" and it is perfect for Flamenco, however it was introduced to Flamenco by one of the "Paco de Lucia" musicians, the instrument is originally from Peru, it suffered a transformation in Flamenco, which consits on adding cords inside to give it a more vibrating sound.
<llaima, thank you for that clip! yes very nice> Thank you Lydia, I just love it when he takes his shoes off! Last edited by LLAIMA; 01-15-2008 at 02:10 PM. |
