I am 100% egyptian style fan, so I give vote to Lucy and I have to agree with what Maria said...Lucy really is amazing when she is in a good mood...:-)
Aziza & Jillina are great, I like Aziza's fluent dance and captivating smile and Jillina's great technique, but it's too bad that she doesn't put any emotions into her dance, so it doesn't leave me so impressed.A professional smile just isn't enough, not even in a drum solo, not to mention an egyptian classic!!
But, I had the chance to see a recording from my ex-teacher with one of NOUR's shows. She did Alf leila wa leila and like everything else that she does, it REALLY melted my heart.Kiraze mentioned that it would be good to see interpretation of some Russians for this song, well I don't know if it's available somewhere on the net, but if you can find, check it out!
I haven't seen a dancer that touches my heart so much as Nour does.

Looking forward to more videos, Maria

I love Alf Leyla Wa Leyla, but I think I'll never be able to dance to it myself. Jillina's choreography video for it was one of the first BD videos I ever owned and I replayed it a zillion times, so it's very hard to get her interpretation out of my system.

Default Style?

What are your thoughts on Saida's interpretation?

I didn't like it. It looked (to my inexpert eye) like it was overly choreographed, and she seemed to be just going through the specific motions/steps without feeling much of anything.

I could easily be wrong, but it didn't look heartfelt at all; nothing like the others.

What say the rest of you?

Ditto... I didn't see much expression either and that's crucial for the song.

My vote is with Jillina, Aziza and Bozenka, in that order. Can't help it. I love the techinque of these dancers.

Default Saida

Saida is a strong and graceful dancer but the carriage of her upper body remind me of a ballerina, not a raqs sharqi dancer. There is not enough "chewiness" or "meltiness" for me.

Default Saida

Saida is a very popular bellydancer here in Argentina, and since she joined the BDSS, her ego grew up like a 500%. Her dancer are definitely overly choreographed and no feelings at all.
