found this picture of Leila Haddad on guilded serpent:

The costume looks sort of Ouled Nail from around the turn of the century ( Algerian). Look up Ouled Nail on the net and see if you get any authentic photos. the cane... to my knowledge they did not use sticks or canes in their dances, but I could be wrong. I think Leila Haddad does do some fusion work, but I HOPE she is not fusing cane and O.N. Regards, A'isha |

Yes, the costume definitely resembles Ouled nail. Tks A'isha for your input. I should look at the picture carefully. Little bit slow on the thinking side. Booze overdose from last night. Still suffering!!!
