That is why it is a joke, dear.

Hey, how about this one: pro-fishing bellydance, with the thigh high boots and the muddy water and all..... and rather than a cane, you use your fishing rod...hehe

Now THAT is a specialist market if ever I heard one. I'm quite sure it would attract a devoted following, though perhaps not one of dance enthusiasts...

bellyboarding- Snowboard and bellydance. I actually have tried it down the slopes but no fame has come to me yet. I think maybe the clothing disguises the finer moves a bit. However I do feel that snowboarding could need a bit of elegance. Especially the arms are free to move in a more refined way. A 720 with nice pirouette arms?

A few years ago, after a protracted ordering and shipping fiasco involved with procuring a new shamadan, I (jokingly) informed some of my troupe ladies that we would now be "all shamadan, all the time". This touched off some rather hysterical speculation about the ways in which we might use the shamadan in conjunction with some of our other repertoire pieces and new works.

One of my favorites was the Shama-Guedra. All that head swinging...

They are a bit frantic aren't they? I think skirts covering all those knees would have looked better (hey I'm sounding like someone's grandmother. :o . I'll be telling them to put their woolly vests on next...)

Bwa haa haa (we need better ROTF smilies) - this was a hoot.

Fascilitates being able to see the legs movement better and ya know, for workouts this saves on laundry

I've mentioned robot bellydance before, but now I've found an example!
