I had the great fortune of having lessons with Reyhan in her neighbourhood of Gaziosmanpasha earlier this year! It was so great I am planning to return next year! Problem is, I have been unable to contact the wonderful Delpha Rhies who handles Reyhan's students as Reyhan cannot speak English or use a computer.
Above on this forum I have heard mention of Jennet who I think I met while I was there. Does anyone have anyway to contact Jennet? I heard the Turkish authorities were going to bulldoze Reyhan's home (and the surrounding area) so I really hope the sudden lack of communication doesn't mean the worst has happened! Anyone interested in Rom dance would be well advised to go straight to the source...Reyhan. All your questions will be answered once and for all! Cheers, Margaret Australia |

Dear Margaret, If you want, I will pass on your email address to Jennet and let her know you are trying to get in touch with her. She is trying to get it together to bring Reyhan and family to the States. Regards, A'isha |

Dear Suhad, Wow!! Thanks for sharing this wealth of clips! I will look at them later this afternoon as I am about to have some more RAM put into my computer in a few minutes by a person who KNOWS ABOUT SUCH TECHNICAL THINGS. it appears Vista is making my life very complicated and extra RAM so my Acid program will run properly is the ticket for being able to convert my tapes into CDs. I am dubious but hopeful. Regards, A'isha |

Thanks so much A'isha!
I am really greatful for any help! I have already booked my ticket to Istanbul so I am quite anxious to make contact! I am wondering why I have had no response from my initial email (to the address listed in the "Classes" page on this site). Very strange. Very worrying. Bye for now Margaret Australia. |
