This is a folklore dance from morocco. Its very earthy...

Reminds me of Moroccan "trance dances" I've seen in which the movements are very repetitive but at the same time hypnotic. I like it, although it's too aerobic for me to want to do it!

Actually, it is the aerobic nature of the dance that appeals to me. I suspect it is a lot more fun to do than it is to watch- it went on for a very long time with not a lot happening, but that is probably my western impatience showing. I like the costumes- the colorful scarves against the white dresses were beautiful.
