Ok ... well... emm...
And just about I started liking Dina, and convinced my self to forget her costumes and her face and focus at her dance, here comes these photo's in my e-mail.
Why ????????? Just wondering

Couldnt fit the photos over here, so adding the link from the greek forum, the greek above are the same as here.

Oy.

I had to look twice, but the thong is actually part of the skirt, it's sewn to the skirt front and back; the real underwear is her boy shorts peeking out of the second picture.

I actually kind of like the top, I like the tuxedo look - it's different!

The real question is WHY ANYONE would deliberately make a costume that looks like one's thong is sticking out!!

 In the South, we would call that not just tacky, but tacky tacky. She's so pretty and so well-known that surely she doesn't have to resort to ghastly costumes in order to get publicity. Perhaps she doesn't realize...?

Hah! I like it, but I dig over-the-top costuming anyway. Plus, IMO, she's cute enough to pull it off. Plus, I totally wanna steal that tuxedo bra!

Dina wore a similarly cut skirt at a performance I attended. It's daring, but not unflattering to her body. Really, it's about the same as some of those side-cut-out skirts.

Heh! Yeah.

I've actually seen Dina live (and at close range) in this costume before, and yeah...it's odd. I mean, the rest of the costume is REALLY beautiful and very flattering on her (I LOVE the top and the skirt is actually pretty good two aside from the weird little pocket and the odd little design feature under debate here.) But the faux thong...well, it is a bit of a head-scratcher, especially since when you see it close up, it is very clearly a funny little thong top-shaped piece of fabric stitched into the top of the skirt.

Fortunately, Dina's a very fashion concious woman (odd costumes aside) and the "whale tail", as the visible thong look is called, is seriously on its way out (not soon enough, IMO), so I suspect she'll be on to some other look soon. (I'm thinking skull and cross bones....) But, in the meantime, she wore this one at Ahlan Wa Salan, her last US performance, and for some big events in the club in Cairo, so I suspect we'll see photos of this one for sometime to come.

Well, she's Dina. She's probably the only person on the planet who can pull it off and not scream "skank". She always keeps people guessing....
