Where to get a good costume in London in less than 2 weeks?

I'd really like to get a new costume before heading to the UAE in 2 weeks... I don't know if I'll be able to easily find something there (and price differences whether good or bad?) so I thought I'd explore my options for getting a costume while I'm still here in London.

Only problem is, I leave in 2 weeks...so I'd need to find somewhere with nice stuff fast to have enough time to have it fitted etc. before I jump on the plane!

I know there are UK-based online stores that have costumes but it seems unlikely that I'd be able to order one online that is in stock and get it in time/have it fitted etc. in time...

Any UK dancers have any suggestions? Or anybody know about finding costumes in Abu Dhabi (or possibly Dubai)??

Depends on your size but these guys have things in stock and do next day delivery. Then you'd just need to find someone to do minor alterations which I can't help you with all the way down there, but there must be stacks of seamstresses surely? Try wedding dress shops, they will have people used to doing complicated things

I suggest you email Lydia about costumes in Dubai. I would personally use my chance to shop in UAE!

I buy all my costumes from A lady in London called Leyla.She dances herself so really understands costumes.Her contact tel.no.is 07802 521210.I can highly recommend the selection here and there are bargains to be had!

Kay usually has some great stuff in stock in the Farida souk. You could also get in touch with Michelle Pender at Whirling Dervish and Mandy Teasdale to see what she has in the The Shimmy Shop...after all Sophie Mei looked gorgeous in her costumes. Maria D'Silva also carries some good quality costumes

Wellll, my whole trip fell through 2 days before I was scheduled to leave... so nothing! Yet... I still need a new costume though!
