Hi all! I'm a tall dancer, just under 6' tall, and I'm having a hard time finding skirts that are long enough for me. Does anyone have any ideas of online stores that carry longer skirts? Any help will be appreciated! There's nothing worse than having skirts come to my calf when I want them at least to my ankle! Thanks in advance everyone!

I have the opposite problem! But Lrose makes skirts to custom lengths soI imagine they are just as good for the tall as well as the short. They are at lrosedesigns.com
I keep suggesting them to other dancers! I promise I don't work for them or even buy from them that often--just a happy customer! |

You could get a piece of fabric to be sewn under the hem of a skirt -- something in a pretty contrast, which would give you a layered look. I would recommend finding a seamstress through a good dry cleaners -- it wouldn't cost much for that much sewing.

What a great idea Kharmine!
I have the opposite problem (duck's disease my man calls it!!), so my skirts are made by me... but I love the idea of adding a contrast to the bottom to lengthen - I trimmed one skirt too short when TRYING to stop the darned thing from dropping on the bias, now it's about 2 or 3 inches too short...

You can even have the two parts attached with a loose stitch so that if you want to change the look, you just snip that strip off and replace it with another. Just make sure the under strip isn't so long you're likely to step on it and rip it off!
