It would probably be a case of the costume wearing the dancer rather than the other way around.
I think sometimes designers and technicians (seamstresses) are not the same people and this is where the trouble starts. Designer imagines a gorgeous costumes, puts the design on paper, specifies materials and hands it off to the person who actually builds the thing. Turns out the beading and other materials are bulkier than imagined so what was lovely and delicate in he sketch becomes a behemoth in reality. Many people don't want to take the time and materials to make a preliminary swatch of beading and trim, but it can save you a lot of wasted effort in the long run. |

Orange and black as a color combo doesn't necessarily bother me, even with the Halloween connotation. I've seen a couple of Bedlah sets and one baledi dress that actually worked with it. But visually, I don't see how you could pull that one together. There's not even anything at the top of the skirt to resemble a belt and the fringe!
