It does make you wonder what the back of the costume looks like (oooh, me and my naughty mind- shame on me).

You are not alone. It's like a joke without the punchline not to, er, balance the design out.

Ah, Amulya, Queen of the UBDC thread! A round of cheers for her and for Kutie for bringing these astonishing costumes to us. My two favorites of the group are skittles and spiderwebs. They look like some one took a page from Scarlett O'Hara's sewing book and used the living room drapes plus the lampshades to make the costumes. (I never can get the words and the pictures coordinated, so I'm sorry if this prints weird)

Default Kiwis and Burlap?

Now that you put the idea out there I'm sure we are in for a rash of costumes featuring strategically placed Kiwis on nude netting.

I did see one costume in Egypt that was beadwork on burlap. Looked itchy. Wish I had gotten a photo!

Can you imagine a green & gold costume with a kangaroo on it! yikes! or the trad flag of red/white/blue southern cross with stars, nope, not for me, I am not that much of patriot. Now if the flag was a pretty colour with lots of sequins and crystals, then I may consider, but it would have to be some swirly design, absolutely no kangas/koalas or NZ Kiwis ( as much as I love that cute little bird

Well, I've seen plenty of dancers who could look good in a burlap bag, but burlap does seem a strange choice for a costume. Maybe the concept is something like those origami quilts that fold up into their own bag: a costume that folds into its own carrying case.

Better be busty if you have a lot of beads and fabric to stuff in there!
