Anyone who can contemplate putting flashing lights in a costume has not seen Gypsy

The original costume was blatantly a sexed-up version of a belly dancer's costume, alluding to the good ol' harem fantasia in the first place, so I guess it's come full circle!

I don't see her doing anything smutty, and although the costume is as skimpy as they come, it is the same as the one in the original film and she is clearly well practiced in not flashing anyone in it.

And she looks good in it!

I find Britney Spears' "I'm a slave" more condescending to bellydance than this.
I have never seen the Star wars movies, nor britney spears slave thing, ( I had never heard of britney until i returned to Australia to be honest) so can't comment there. I didn't think the dancer was smutty, I think the costume is too revealing side on for bellydance, and when she did her spin It was a worry as to what else could have been revealed. Maybe she had flesh tights on. Sorry for stepping on Star wars fans toes even if they encased in elfin booties

My toes are not encased in elfin booties!! I'd be barefoot all the time if the weather allowed. I am very anti-sock.

Old Star Wars is awesome; avoid new Star Wars. Trust me on this one.

Why don't we just ask Harrison Ford to shimmy in his Han Solo costume?

Harrison Ford, the bellydancer. Now there's something to think about. He looks almost exactly like my dad, so it's more amusing to me than most, I'm sure.

Snap sister...from black and silver to striped with purple splodges..that's the socks ....then Birkies and toe-stops rule.
In fact this week turned a little less wintry and I had the socks on with sensible "Jesus"sandals. I bet the man himslef would have worn socks if they had 'em then
