Brings a whole new meaning to the term "lunatic fringe."

Someone on tribe found this and sent it to me, it really shocked me! It's a male belly dance costume. See for yourself:

Ugly costumes

I found these "Guidelines while searching for ugly BD costumes...

Thou shalt not have mock nipples on thy bra.
Thou shalt not have faux-crotches on thy belt.
Thou shalt not overuse fringe.
Thou shalt not clash thy colors.
Thou shall wear a costume ONLY if it fits thy body.
Thou shalt not have gaps in thy costume.
Thou shalt not use edible items on thy costume.

That was copied from this tribe site; What were they thinking.... - tribe.net

Shades of Henry the Eighth. Don't you think it might've been more appropriate had he decorated the thing with ball fringe?

Cod Belts: for the man who is REALLY insecure in his masculinity, but still wishes to bellydance! Remind the audience constantly that you are MALE, OKAY?!

Someone tell me those aren't little bells on it...

I wouldn't be able to stop laughing, specially if he was doing the fierce thing.

I read in the posts on this tribe.net tribe that the mens cod piece belt was made as a joke.

[quote]This was actually made as a joke. A guy has posted looking for male costuming, and someone got silly and commented back that a lot of items were unisex...what was he looking for, a beaded and tasselled codpiece? Well, smart asses that we are, thus the feathered codbelt was born, and with it these pictures. As for the side view, it was padded for the photos but comes unpadded if you should wish to wear such a thing. I think the model was a mighty good sport to wear this without giggling.[unquote]

I bet there is someone out there who would wear it though
