What were they thinking of..................... price-wise. ![]() Saw this on Bhuz and thought ODers ( oops not meant that way...well OD on belly dance anyway ) might be interested in taking out a mortgage on a 2nd or 3rd hand costume.![]() and I cannot get my head around the idea of crochet and tribal belly dance.... Tribal Bra & Belt Bellydance Costume by Gigi Originals - eBay (item 310033768086 end time Mar-27-08 11:50:20 PDT) but then I never mastered the art although I a mean knit one pearl one woman. ![]() Last edited by Shanazel; 03-28-2008 at 12:44 AM. |

Haaaaaahaaahaaaa... thought that fish thing was silly but the price on that Jillina costume is hilarious.
![]() Oh well you never know, some of those BDSS groupies... after all it's got genuine BDSS sweat in it! Pick up a bit of DNA too and one day you could clone your own BDSS... ![]() The crochet one reminded me of the crocheted pot holders for the kitchen that my Oma used to make. ![]() |

It seems to me that if any costume is either a bit weird or of low quality they tend to call it 'tribal'...as if 'tribal' was a catchall word for 'everything else'.

That crocheted one looks ridiculous, but actually could work if it was done of decent materials with beading and stuff, unlike that "oven glove" look...LOL

For that price, Jillina oughtta walk it straight to your door in person.
Personally, I think the perfect accompaniment for the fish bra would be a mermaid skirt with genuine barnacles attached, and maybe some trailing seaweed. I'd have loved to have seen the dance that costume was created for. Possible music: "Splish Splash". |
