That reminds me of one of the fellow students in my class when I was a beginner: she had a bra like that! Nicely combined with some sort of ancient egyptian neck adorment thingy. But she was a severe alcoholic so she can be forgiven.

I still have my grandmother's button jar and collected several jars worth of my own buttons- such a bedlah I could make if I didn't hate to sew buttons on. Oy.

There are some middle eastern traditional costumes among nomadic peole that incorporate buttons into embroidery designs and are perfectly beautiful.

True, and somehow it works perfectly. But not in this case....

It works, I think, because the buttons are one element in an overall design pattern and don't leap out and scream, "Hi, We're buttons, and we're here to make you sit up and gasp!"

I'm not sure what those buttons on the bra are screaming- I put both hands over my eyes.
