And don't you think a prone position is very appropriate for this costume? This deserves some kind of award: Tackiest Use of a Botanical Theme, perhaps?

Wow.

Just when you think you might have seen something approaching it all...

At least there weren't fringes hanging off the leaves on the bottoms.

Amulya's 51.jpeg - what IS that? looks like it wants to be a chain mail bikini, or a G-string that's horrible on so many levels I wish I hadn't thought it... Eewwww.

Oh My! Those indeed are very unusual and ugly! lol

The recent postings about costuming on the "Osama bin Wooden" thread made me remember this following experience. I have no pictures but there's no need I think.
A troupe of girls performed a choreography at a hafla. I guess they had all agreed on red tops, black pants and coinbelts. This one girl shows up in a huge red soccer shirt with a BIG nr 5 on her front and back. I was so puzzled as to why she had thought THAT was a good bellydance-preformance t-shirt that I didn't even get the colour coordination until my friend whispered: "oh how cute, they probably agreed on red tops and she took the only one she had".

You do have a good point Gisela. Not everyone is as fortunate to have everything they want. I guess she should be lucky she was able to dance at the Hafla

Yes, not everyone is fortunate to have a great costume but in this case I strongly suspect that it was a touch of ignorance and not lack of funds that did it.

You know what really gives me pause, Moon? One of those cowgirls in my Wednesday night class is bound to think this is a cool costume that could work for both BD and line dancing. I wonder if it comes with chaps?
