We are so excited to announce that we have upgraded our magazine-sized Event
Guide. Not only will have great content including maps of the venue, an index
of performers, teachers, & vendors, articles, show line ups, bios photos,
festival information, and your business ad (of course!), but it will be "PERFECT
BOUND" (like an actual magazine) and it will have a COLOR cover!

Additionally, the layout is organized by professional graphic artists, Carolee
Cameron & Rick King, so that the presentation and quality is something our
attendees will cherish. It'll be a keeper, for sure!!

If you would like to place an ad, all the specs and prices can be found on the

Additionally, there are inexpensive ways to promote yourself or your business.
As we did last year, we have basic ($10) and premium listings ($25) in our
vendor directory or the performer/instructor directory.

New this year, we are accepting 1/8 page "Vanity Ads" ($30) that are perfect for
saying "Thank You" to your favorite teachers or "Best of Luck" to your favorite
festival dancer. These "Vanity Ads" are a terrific way to send some love to
your troupe, instructor, classmates, friends, or family.

We are excited to share that we have attendees coming from 26 States, a huge
contingent from Canada, several from the United Kingdom and Greece. This is
going to be the largest Intensive we've seen in Vegas, yet!! It's a great year
to advertise or place a "Vanity Ad".

We have limited space and several of our vendors are advertising already.
Please don't delay. All ad submissions and payments must be received by August

Hello everyone. (from Director of Volunteers, Reema)

I have been asked to be the Director of Volunteers for the LV Intensive 2009. I am looking for enthusiastic, fun loving people who want to take part in one of the biggest and best events Las Vegas has to offer. So many performers come to Las Vegas and witness first-hand the comradery and family like atmosphere at this event and a great part is owed to all the wonderful and generous volunteers we count on each year.

Additionally, volunteers get the added perks of taking
some classes or attending the shows for free, and have fun. There are many
opportunities to be involved in. We need people to be ushers,to help at the
registration tables, and to check people into classes. We also need help running the festival stage, runners for vendors & performers, personal assistants to the teachers, etc. We'd enjoy having some "belly husbands" who want to help move, set up, and tear down equipment as well as dealing with technical aspects of the event. after-party hostesses are local dance troupe Cabernet! We know that they will throw us a great party!

Second, I am thrilled to announce that 2009 Headliner, Amaya, will also be
working together with Cabernet to make the evening even more spectacular. This night is going to double as Amaya's official DVD release party for her new
"American Legends of Belly Dance" documentary. The details are as follows:

Ok folks...our room block is now officially full (171%) and we are past our cut off date. If you did not secure a room, I can probably still get you one in our block, but you will need to contact me directly so I can give you the direct line to our sales rep. Also, I believe Selena is still looking for a roommate, so if you want to share a room, that is a possibility.

Additionally, the festival is now full and a waiting list has been started. Our program has already gone to press, so anybody who is able to secure a position from this point forward will not be printed in the program.
