Default What is your fav bellydance workout video?

Hello Belly friends,

I just love bellydance workout videos. And just wanted to get your feedback on what videos you like for the purpose of breaking a good sweat. Also which ones would you say are better for instruction???

I like Veena and Neena slim down and fat burning
and Rania's Cardio Shimmy

I can't say it's my fave because I just started working out to it but I've been doing Neon's Bellydance for Bodyshaping abs workout.

I love Suhaila´s Fitness Fusion: Buns DVD as it gives really serious workout and lots of fun also dancewise - other DVD:s in this series are also Ok but Buns is my absolute favourite

Also Rania´s Fitness for Weight Loss series is Ok although I would prefer her using Middle Eastern music instead of boring western stuff

Mmmmm... Buns (Homer Simpson moment)

(note international differences here before I'm labelled as weird - a bun in the UK is more commonly a type of small cake rather than a part of your anatomy. Too many buns would be bad for your buns )

Lol- Yup. Over here it's not the same thing.

I am finding it so hard to find a good workout. I have Neons ab thing, and really like it, but there's not much instruction, so I decide to give up and watch instead.

The Rachel Brice one is good too, but I get a bit bored sometimes. And then I have a few others but I don't use them much.

Hoping to get some idea's from here though. I was going to try that Delilah one, anyone got it?

As a workout Rania's Daily Quickies is really good. The one for the arms is actually the best. Suhaila's Fitness Fusion series are also my favorites, being the Buns one the one that I like the best.

Suhaila's Belly Dance Body for Beginners. I believe it is a combination of the fitness fusion series with snippets of each in one DVD. It is very challenging, not for beginner. I don't like the dance style combinations (jazz) but i adapt them for my own ethnic style. I think it's important to step out of your box when training so that you always progress. Mostly I train on my own, but when I get bored with myself, I put in suhaila.

I've heard a lot about Suhalia. Is it a intensive workout or is it a light workout?

If you are used to aerobics or other that type of training then I would say that Suhaila´s workout videos are intermediate intensity workout: at least on Buns DVD your thighs and buns are getting quite heavy training which is combination of aerobic style and oriental movements - you are not sweating too much by training with these but your muscles are working for sure (If you want to sweat then I would recommend e.g. Ansuya´s Lavish Layers, which is not exactly workout video, but combining different shimmies with upbeat tempo is better workout than most of the actual workout videos)
