I looooove the smell of coconut too! The closest I've gotten to a coconut-smelling hair product (but don't think there was much actual coconut oil in it) was John Frieda's Ocean Waves spray. Smelled delicious, but can't find it here in the UK.

How do you use coconut oil in your hair? Do you put it in with fingers and just leave it in, or wash it out after awhile...? I am going to have to try this too!

Jahzaal, if you do try Mixed Chicks products, let me know what you think. You and your daughters' different curly hair types will surely be a good trial of the product!

Brea - me too! I always blame my mother for making me genetically inclined towards tropical weather. I'm certainly not meant for UK weather anyway...

Hands oo our weather!! It belongs to us!!
There are some Uk days - not always summer, when I just love it. The smell of autumn, or the smell of rain on a warm day. The main problem is the constant switching betweeen warm and cold that seems to be our summer these days.

I can't believe ANYONE is made for Minnesota weather, and yet they defend it. It's cold here like you can't even imagine...even when you live here!

*coconut thread hijack*

Yesterday I found some fantastic-smelling virgin coconut oil from the Philippines when I was in Chinatown! I immediately bought it because of my love of coconuts and because you ladies mentioned that it was good for hair! Now...how do I use it??

I smoothed some on my ends yesterday and today and it made them lovely and soft. Any other tips?

Hello i also have this problem and i have mine layered... My hair is thick and strong and just under bra strap lenght i have no fringe as i look like a dulux dog on a bad day with one hee hee.... I also get poeple saying your hair is beauiful wish i had it. But you know i can get ready to go on a night out and have my hair looking great in the house, but....... as soon as i walk out the door and arrive at lets say a night club i can walk in with one style and half way through the night end up with another as soon as the moisture in the air gets to it

So now i have found something that lets me have more control of my hair and keeps the moisture in the air from making my look like the dulux dog look.
My hairdresser told me about TIGI S Factor ... SMOOTHING LUSTERIZER it is a Defrizzer & Tamer and i find this great you can use on wet hair or dry and you only need a pearl size drop or in my case two peal sizr drops smoothed over your hair. It says and i quote ( A scientific blend of ingredients that silkifies, softens, fights humidity ( which for me really works ) you can use it on wet or dry hair satisfaction guaranteed).
But don't use any more than a pearl drop or two if it is longer like mine .Oh yes price almost forgot its about £14.99 for a 200ml
