Why, thank you, you boxless creature, you!! I think that the true geniuses of camophlage are Julie Farley, my current make-up artist and Craig Sweat, who takes all of my photos now. They make me look quite life like! Regards, A'isha |

Dear Mya, Okay, you can come and live with me and I will take care of you until I die!! (They say that I am easy to make up because I have "regular features" and decent skin. Nowadays they do add "for a woman your age" on that skin part, though.) Love to you, A'isha |

Hey everyone,
dear A'isha, what can I say? You just look beautiful, not even 'for your age', just BEAUTIFUL!!!! I guess at my age though people don't get that kind of comments yet. I'm happy now if people think I'm older lol but I guess that will change in a while .Bellyqueen dear, I hope this doesn't come across as harsh, but if I understand correctly from your profile you're 13 years old. I'm sorry, but it's hard for me to believe at that age you have had the chance to really work out thoroughly at a gym, let alone try every method of getting a flat stomach, or even have stopped developping!! I'd say you are also going to loose some 'baby fat' first naturally as your body develops. Also as others have said I can't see you so I don't know if you already have strong abdominal muscles and how your belly looks, or that you're just really self conscious. My only advice (and I know from experience) is that to excercise and eat well is the key to healthier and better looking body. This better looking will not mean flat six-pack abs for everyone though (my friend says I have a nine-pack though, the almost invisible lines on one's stomach telling which muscles I can isolate.... don't you just love bellydance??). I've lost about 17 kilo's bellydancing 'till I drop, doing bellydance fitness and yoga in combination with a healthy diet. I still do not have a flat belly, but I guess I don't need one either .We're women, we're allowed to have bellies and we're allowed not to. Either way we are beautiful. But it all starts with yourself. You yourself have to see the beauty in YOU, and when you do, everyone else will as well. Good luck and just keep dancing/excercising! ![]() |

If only we could all sit and talk around a bonfire (when we're not dancing our hearts out ofcourse). At 24 I'm guessing I'm in the upper "young" segment of visitors to these forums and have found myself in a similar position in my class. I absolutely love being surrounded by women who love themselves and their bodies - that and the fact that you all share it with the springier (I made that one up) chickens is beautiful and inspirational.
I'm slowly getting there... instead of wanting a smaller tummy I'd just like to improve my muscle control, it will tone along the way. As for stretchmarks, I actually reckon they're not too bad... funny snakey patterns and a light silvery colour - now I wont need glitter! :P

![]() And bellyqueen, to be honest, even a healthy diet & regular exercise don't make miracles happen. But they do help - to a certain point. Some of us are gifted with flat stomachs and others with muffin tops... so is life Learn to love yourself! Btw, I put the word 'healthy' in bold because I don't want to be perceived as encouraging crash dieting! ![]() |

Sweet Bellydance sister....you are not your belly...you are a soul of light and joy who happens to be dancing in this body which you use to experience life. Put your attention on awareness and observe your SELF........which has little to do with what shape your abdomen happens to be. Love and smiles to you.

, but just saying you dont need flat and tight sixpack abs to have a pretty belly... I've never aspired to be flat and tight, I have always liked my curves, and I love them (and my belly) even more since I started dancing. I'm smaller than I used to be (since I've lost some weight) but I quite liked being curvy before nevertheless. Toned (ESPECIALLY bellydance'ish-toned), fuller bellies I think are pure beauty.By the way I think your new avatar is really pretty!! |
