Hi KuteNurse-
Yeah, can you believe it? This whole -40 windchill business makes me wonder how Minnesota was ever settled as more than a summer camp! Speaking of which I have changed the festival location to Duluth! If you check the Oriental International thread I mention that you or I could explain the benefits of a beach house on Park Point in the summer months. Our winters are beyond wicked but Duluth is like a beach town in the summer time. Well, it IS a beach town. I accidentally ate cheese today in a salad! Still, I am amazed at how much the change in diet has changed my body. I wonder if it's a healthy thing though.

You mean THE FESTIVAL??? lol Duluth is a great place for a festival...Especially in mid to late summer. Make sure to avoid Grandma's Marathon or the BayFront Blues Festival weekends...There wouldn't be hotels for over a 100 miles. You should contact Debbie and let her know of your plans so she can pass it onto others in the area. Unfortunately for me, summertime means driving to cycling races on weekends that are hundreds of miles away, but maybe I will get lucky and it will end up on a weekend there will be no races. Yes, this cold is really something. I hear it will not be much warmer in Minneapolis however. I am planning on picking up some movies and hunkering down in my house for the weekend. Today however, I need to go pick up my new contact lenses at the eye doctor and renew my driver's license...lol Stay warm!
Ohhh...About the cheese thing...I am glad you are feeling better. I dont think a little bit of cheese will hurt anything. Are you taking a calcium supplement? I do not think you want to be without calcium in your diet. I can't remember the calcium mg's that are appropriate for you age, but google it and see what that amount is so you will keep strong bones...lol Quote:

Hi Brea,
Well done for your weight loss! Yes, I have tried cutting out dairy a few times. I have been vegetarian since I was a teenager, but ate way too much dairy, especially cheese and eggs! I could even eat cheese 3 times a day! I have been on the Fit for Life eating plan for 2 weeks now, and I have cut out all dairy, I don't even miss it that much, which is unexpected. I have lost 4 pounds in 2 weeks, nice and steady, but for me the weight loss is a bonus, as this way of eating gives me more energy and makes me feel cleansed. |

My friend this weekend was thinking eggs were dairy. Eggs aren't dairy!
![]() I can't do the vegetarian thing, mainly because I LOVE fish and bacon. -Brea
