That grape salad recipe sounds crazy to me! I shall have to make it to try something completely new. I would never think of putting those things together.
For tea tonight, as it's pancake day, we had broccolli and leek pancakes. Make some pancakes (there must be a recipe online somewhere if you don't know how) Make a white sauce (again there must be a recipe on line if you don't know how) (In fact in the UK you can buy mixes for both those things if they are too daunting) Chop 1 onion, 1 leek, and some broccolli. All pretty small. Heat some oil, start frying onion, then add leek and broccolli. Turn heat down low and simmer for about 10 mins (until all softish) Add a little bit of veg boullion and a couple of spoons of the white sauce. Use a hand blender to blend the veg a bit. I left mine still with a bit of texture. Divide the veg mix between the pancakes, put a bit in each and roll up. Line them up in an oven proof dish. Pour white sauce over. Chuck some mozerella on top Bung in oven for about 20-30 mins gas mark 6 ish. Yum!

Oh that IS a really interesting recipe! I will definitly try it! I love making pancakes and I prefer to make most of my sauces myself, because I have little faith in the premixed stuff cos of preservatives and colorants etc... :-S
Oh talking of pancakes.... it could be quite a vicious trick for the weight- watches....LOL Make pancakes and : 1) wrap in chunky cottage cheese (unsalted)+ egg a bit of sugar and vanilla(mixed) add raisins of grated lemon rind to taste, brown both sides on a hot frying pan (i like 'em crispy!) My granma used to make really mean pancakes! 2)Another variant is with thick apple sauce- peeled sliced apples with just a bit of water cinnamon and honey instead of sugar constantly stirring till apples fall apart (now thinking about it.... probably the sauce can be made in the microwave faster?) 3) Onion sliced up fried in oil with red and yellow greenpepper(How is that for a turn? LOL) a pinch of hotpepper to taste a crushed clove of garlic fry 15 min with lid on + a can of tomatoes (mush up the toms). This filling it is best to wrap in and place on baking sheet sprinkle with cheese and bake 15 min 4) fried onions+mushrooms+bit of garlic+grated cheese Oh and most of them I like to serve with a tablespoon of sour cream... Havea great day!

mmmm yum. I love that your recipes sound like things I would never think of. The cottage cheese one sounds a bit like Yorkshire curd tart, which is pastry with curd, raisins, lemon and stuff baked in it.
anything with red yellow and green pepper i call 'traffic light' whatever ![]() We have traffic light pasta, pizza, beans and so on. I invented it to avoid sounding like I was always cooking the same thing ![]() Yes I don't get the packet things. Packet pancake mix which you add liquid to , so just flour, powdered egg and powdered milk then Some things are too easy already

to be fancy you can add eggs and milk insead of water, but it works without! I like making thick pancakes- with milk/yogurt that got sour than I just add soda and flour and eggs (can skip eggs) or use buttermilk .... enough flour to make thick dough and bake round puffy pancakes.... if I dont have buttermilk or sour thick milk then I use fresh milk and put a packet of instant yeast- I love them puffy - yummy ! ![]()
