Jane,

Thank you so much for that comment! It is very comforting to know that I am not alone in my experiences and I am not just crazy with my food hoarding.

In the place where they used to starve us every week we had to see a therapist. The therapist would give us one piece of candy which we would hoard under our mattresses for several weeks. Then, when we were particularly hungry or just couldn't stand it anymore, my roommate and I would have a candy celebration! That is actually a happy memory for me. That is, until they found out. No more candy stashes.

thats interesting, i went without food daily, if i wanted to eat i had to go to school. except the effect on me was opposite. i can go days without eating and feel fine. probably because i would go from friday lunch to monday lunch without eating much of anything. of course, now i must force myself to eat consistently.

except today, its 4:40 pm and i have not eaten anything. i'm starving now that i think about it and will probably go to the chinese food buffet. its like i forget to eat even though my stomach is grumbling and feels completely empty.

i'm 5'6" and 130 pounds, i dont look frail, i dont feel frail. i would like to weigh more. in fact if i stuff my face, 3 times a day, my top weight ever was 142. so i dont know if a body can adjust to its environment in terms of food or what.

Brea,

I think we many of us struggle with out weight. Especially this time of year after the holidays are over. I know one of my New Year's resolutions is to lose weight and to get into better physical shape. May I suggest some form of counseling for you?? Maybe talking with someone will give you more self confidence and control over your diet. I think this applies to not just Brea, but for many of us who have over-eating habits. If you keep exercising and dancing, your metabolism rate will increase, making it easier to lose weight. I would love to add more here, but I just got back onto the internet for the first time in a week and I have so much to explore...So I will come back to this. Good luck and Hugs!
