Hello lovely ladies! Over the last two years I've lost about 40 lbs from my highest point & am working on my last 10 lbs (sooooo hard when you get to the end!). I'm fairly knowledgeable now and full of lots of advice so if anyone ever has any questions, do feel free to message me!
Hopefully these will work but here are my before and afters! It is definitely a journey, take your time, make small changes at a steady pace and be patient. If you stick with it, it works. Remember to not focus on the big picture, simply focus on moving more and making good choices for each meal you sit down to eat. |

I've been working on my weight since last September, but getting more consistant about it. Getting back into dance has helped me alot, since I love to dance so much. I do some resistance training with my bowflex too, but I really need to add some yoga and stretching to my routine as well. My flexibility sucks.
![]() I've lost 47 pounds since last september and I want to lose at least 30 more. I was very happy today when I put on this dress I used to be able to wear several years ago and was able to get it done up! I still have a bit to go before it looks good enough to wear out, but I'm very stoked that I could actually get it on!! I try to work out most days, at least to dance. Dancing makes me feel so good. It is something that gives back to me even more as I put into it. As far as diet.. usually two eggs scrambled and some turkey bacon for breakfast with a piece of wheat toast and a tiny bit of jam. A piece of fruit for a snack later and some chocolate protein powder mixed with vanilla light soy milk. My dinner is usually a salad with chicken or tuna or I do some sort of protein (roasted meat or fish) with steamed veggies and brown rice. I've even done sauteed (in nonstick cooking spray) veggies and some spaghetti sauce over brown rice too, when I craved italian. I eat a bit of melon mixed with blueberries or cherries with that and if I want anything before bed, it's a couple of mini rice cakes. (Did you know they make chocolate ones?) To drink - I should drink more water, but I drink alot of coffee at work and then cups of green tea. I figure everyone needs at least one bad habit, and mine is caffine. I do like water, just hard to get it in like I should. I figure if I continue and step up the working out a bit I should be at or close to my goal by Christmas! Some of my costumes will be too large then - perfect excuse for more new ones! Phoebe |

Hi guys, I a fan of belly dancing and I believe that it's the best exercise specially to us (ladies). Belly dancing is not just boosting ourselves to be fit but it adds confidence to us...
I want to know your comment about this video: soft movement trial belly because I love the moves..What do you think? |

It went well! How did your session go? I have a tape of Yoga/Pilates and would really like to do more of this. The Rachel Brice 'Bellydance Arms and Posture' has some yoga moves in it as well and the stuff she does to your arms and shoulders really, really gives a good burn in those areas. It's no wonder that woman has such control over her arm movements. I went to the doctor on Monday and i'd lost 2 more pounds since my last visit a week before that and I weighed today and I'm down another pound since then. I was joking with my co-workers that if I keep going like this, I'll dissapear in about 80 weeks. ![]() ![]() What gets me is how much better I feel in general, just health-wise since I'm not eating junk and moving my body more. I had always been doing shimmies from my knees and using my glutes to make them sharp until I read on here that you should use your stomach muscles - obliques to generate the movement and your knees should move but not drive it. So, I've been retraining my body to do shimmies differently now, and you know.. I can really see the difference in my stomach and waist! So, how is everyone else doing?
