Default Make-up tips and techniques

I've been flickering through make up tutorials on You tube, and it got me wondering about tips and tricks when applying make up. I love to exchange tips with other people cause you learn quite a bit and it's fun to try new methods.
  • If I want to cover up a small blemish or anything without caking it in too much foundation (I don't wear it you see) I put a bit of neutral eye shadow on it, then press pressed power over it.
  • Before I put on eye shadow I usually put on a realy matte powder over my lid first, all the way upto my eyebrows (to hold it better), then put a slightly lighter shade just under my eyebrow.
  • To get nice long curly lashes which are very seperated I use that Maybelline stuff from that Memoires film. First I brush them through with an eyebrow brush to seperate them. I then curl them BEFORE aplying mascara for 30 secs each side. I then apply the mascara lightly (only on the top lash) making sure I go into both corners. I wait until it's dry then apply another layer. If you do it when it's wet then it'll get cloggy usually and stuck together.

Does anyone have anytips on the under eye area? Cause it's really delicate and I don't want to make my under eyes darker or puffy etc.

Also I'd love to know how you can try and reduce the appearence of pores like which brands etc.

I've been using Elemis cleanser and toner lately and my pores have improved HUGELY. My skin was pretty awful and I thought it was just age, but no! I wasn't looking after it right.

I went for a facial, suspended my disbelief and bought the products the therapist recommended (well the basic ones), and actually used them morning and evening, and it really has made a huge difference. Not cheap, but better than buying cheap stuff and having it make my nose so red and oily it didn't match the rest of my face!
