Heyas,
before I go out and grab me a lateral mini stepping thing, has anybody tried them or know anything about them? They're the mini steppers, but go up and down and from side to side. Doc says I need to find a gentler approach to my daily routine thing cause me bouncing around isn't helping my brain heal, so he suggested something like this, but dint say what exactly to get. I thought this because the rise and fall are quite gentle and on the websites they appear to have really good results n all which is a plus. Here's one... Sports HQ - Confidence Lateral Thigh Trainer Mini Stepper NEW and here Amazon.co.uk: MST1 Carl Lewis Fitness mini twisting stepper with bungee cords: Personal Care I know this is a bit of a shot in the dark, lol, but thought I'd ask. Cheers Sara

Hi Sara ,I've never tried a mini-stepper, although I do have a Gazelle. It's a very good low impact exerciser. If you want to buy one get the stepper that has that free upper body exerciser so you get more bang for your buck.
I've may have missed this, but what's this about your brain healing? Yasmine |

I was in a crash two years ago or something, I don't really remember. But I hurted the top of my brain when I banged my head apparently, and they looked through my eyes to see it. It was well cool. They took photo's and allsorts. Basically it bleeds, and swells and is bruised. It made me dizzy and my memory was thrown a bit out, but it's getting better now. I still get funny head feelings, but no fainting anymore.
![]() That's why I can't do too mch jumping up and down and stuff.

Sister Sara, you had an angel on your shoulder that day. Each day is celebration of the unexpected, live it to the fullest. Oh and BTW I just gave you my personal nickname-that's what black folk here like to do think of it as a cultural adoption!

Yikes Sara - the price is certainly right but if you are looking for aerobics this won't get you breathing hard and it very precarious for balance depending on how secure you are - it won't work your muscles hard either.
The Gazelle would probably give you a much better and frankly smoother exercise - they are bigger but they are light. Have you considered a slide? Good grief - I've got the yips tonight - I'm on codeine, forgive me LOL Last edited by Gabi; 12-15-2006 at 05:11 AM. Reason: gratuitous additional comment |

Wow! Lol. I've been culturally adopted! Cheers!
You've really cheered me up you two, thanks. I was actually just worrying about my brain again lol, and forgot about this, but you made me feel better, lol. I am lucky it wont worse. I'll look into the Gazelle thing. And what kind of slide? Like a slide in park? ![]()

Cheers.I think I'm so plucky cause it happened to be honest. I don't get upset easily now, so I'm happier.

I think they may have made some changes to the Gazelle since I got mine, I think something to adjust the tension? Mine didn't have that and I only used it a time or two before I drug it off to the basement. I never felt as if I could get a good workout with it.
