I remember the threads on older dancers and it's true there will always be the exception: the glamorous well preserved and skilful 50+er still getting paid restaurant/ club gigs.But for most of us,it's other ways to shine.

I don't dance for free and usually the jobs I take pay far better than any restaurant or club gig. I make sure that my dance company does not fall into the pit of dancing for free either. We are experienced professionals and we will be treated that way and part of that is receiving financial compensation. We do two free gigs a year and that's it. We work quite a bit, too. Take a look at the events calendar on our site. (
Barharat!!) Those are the things we have done this year that are open to the public as we do not post private gigs there.
