How very nicely said! And I agree. I have a large and complicated dance vocabulary, but that does not mean I have to throw every movement I know into every dance that I dance. In fact, that is often rather counter productive to the purpose of fully interpreting a piece of music. I am happy to know how to do so many things with this big toy I refer to as my body, but if movement does not help to truly manifest the music physically and emotionally, then what is the point?
