You gave up tribal because of squats.!! Is that some nasty affliction?
You don't get the squats with me as a tribal (ATS) teacher!
A teacher or troupe leader should tailor a class to suit the students or members. There are usally alternative moves. We originally had a slightly younger and more flexible member who could do a Berber walk...on the knees.the rest of us did the alternative move upright. Get good tribal instructional DVDs and there are always suitable or adaptabe moves for dancers of all ages and levels of flexibity.
My friend ..the flexible one had the RB DVD and even she said it would dangerous to the less than flexibly fit.
