Hmm, somehow the stereotype of a "typical Italian" is much more prevailing and stuck into people's heads than a stereotype of a "typical Greek".
As for the "Egyptians being the Italians" - I found it a lot of fun when my Jordanian friend gave me a short course into the stereotypes of the Arab world. They are just as funny as the European ones. I love stereotypes, as long as they are only used for harmless fun.
