A'isha:

I do understand your concern, believe me. As an equalist, 'equal' is my personal goal, not 'special'. I was trying to point out that they are even. Last month Ava Fleming was on the cover. Generally in each (though apparently not this one, I just reviewed it again) there is an interview with one female and one male bellydancer. If you look at the archives it should be apparent that there is one of each featured in each magazine, generally speaking. Jim's was the first front-cover male one, all the rest have been women. I'll go through the past issues and post the featured dancers here so you can see what I mean.

May: Cover Ava Fleming. Male Dancer: Mark Balahadia.

April: Cover Renee. DVD review and Mahira's account of dance. Male Dancer: Zorba.

March: Cover Jale. Jale's dance journey article. Male dancer: Tarik Sultan.

February: Cover Valerie Mirag. Interview with Valerie Mirag. Male dancer: Frank Farinaro.

Prior to this, all interviews were with female dancers. This is the 2-year anniversary of our magazine.

(poor Zorba! Still, yours was very colorful and beautiful!)
