I was just thinking, you are up late, but then there is the time difference and in reality I am up late, a bat in a past life I think.
A cookie is something nice to eat, but in computer parlance, it is a
a small text file sent to a web user's computer by a website. A cookie can be used to identify that user to the website on their next visit. Common uses include remembering login data, user preferences, and providing favorites lists.
This site sets cookies, as does any other website you use regularly. In AVG 8.0, if it shows you what cookies you have, you should be able to see this site in there.
Also, wherever you go on the web, cookies are set for a future visit, if you don't go to that place again, then you do not need the cookie, so getting shot is an option.
