Ah A'isha, I do understand your fears with computers and the net, I was the same myself till two years ago. Yes, until two years ago, I had never used a computer other than a Sinclair ZX81, and the internet was a mythical realm to me. But like all things, the only way to overcome fears and inexperience, is to just get on with it, at some point having got on with it you will arrive at the point where you wonder what all the fuss and worry was about.

So with an old computer, these past couple of years I forced myself to learn and adopt the technology of most of the civilised world with computers, I purposely messed my comp up with viruses and all manner of malware, as an experiment in gaining confidence. I gained confidence by seeking out techie forums and asking questions, there searching the net for programmes to kill the viruses I had got on purpose. I managed to totally clean up my machine. This taught me, though caution is needed on the net, nothing cannot be repaired and often repaired for free by yourself. Help is always available.

Odd lot techies, they love problems, it makes their day and they love helping others, in fact a lot of the serious clean up programmes out there are freeware, created by said techies, the angels of the net perhaps.

If you run XP or Vista, 'piclens' works fine and is no problem what so ever, if you want it, just click to download and follow the instructions, easy really. If you want the programme, go on give it a try, and there revel in how good you feel for taking that step forward.

Of course you know, anything dodgy or possibly harmful to your computer, your computer security software will detect it and let you know
