There is a dancer round Essex/East London way called Elektra & she does a sort of tribal fusion fire fan & poi thing & it is fantastic to watch!

First time we saw her perform it was in a small local church hall with a stage & curtains like you have at school, & we were on the edge of our seats waiting for one of the curtains to go up in flames, hahaha! She used fire fans & fire poi too. Very cool!

What I liked in particular about Elektra is that it was more than just 'fire-dance-in-tribal-costume'. She chose a good piece of music & managed to combine the two elements. That takes some skill!
