Great advice Makeda Maysa, adiemus and Farasha Hanem!
That is pretty much what I do for stage makeup as well. I especially echo the false eyelashes thing - they do so much onstage.

I had my makeup done by MAC once for a big gig (Cheb i Sabbah) and they did a FANTASTIC job. One great thing that the makeup artist did was dip the tips of the false lashes in the outer corners in a bit of glue, and then into glitter that matched my costume (teal) - it gave a very subtle (onstage) sparkle and looks really great. I've been meaning to make some that go with my other costumes!

I use Bare Escentuals mineral makeup for both everyday and performance, because my skin likes it way better than the non-natural types. I find it works just fine using those products for stage, I just put way more on (and can apply the powder liner wet etc which is good). However, I would like some MAC products for a bit of extra flair and colour!

I never use lipstick, just gloss - although the other women in my family look great with lipstick on, I look terrible with any colour on my lips! Maybe because they're already quite full...I dunno but lipstick makes me look like a huge dork. Anyone else have that problem??
