I've made mine using a pattern from Kashmir's (
Raqs - Middle Eastern Dance - with Kashmir) site - it's really easy and then you have something that you can be proud of and continue to decorate.
The length in the front should just touch the ground, while the back should drape a little, so actual length will vary a bit. Kashmir's pattern makes up very easily and looks great!
