I passed my teaching practical in Albuquerque, shopped and had lunch with a cousin I haven't seen in 43 years in Santa Fe, forded the creek and climbed the dunes with my daughter in southern Colorado, ate ice cream in Salida, and drove for ten hours to get us home last night only to find my husband sick with a terrible cold. Tomorrow it is back to the salt mines, but it was a very nice vacation.

And- I am going over to the dark side of fusion. Yes, troops, it is true. One of my students and I are going to do a clogging/BD duel to Dueling Banjos at the rec center recital next week, fighting it out with clogging taps and zils. I don't know if we will be able to keep straight faces, and I sure the heck hope the audience can't.
