Yes! It has nothing to do with looking feminine. If you have ever been in any kind of theatrical production (not including bellydance) like a play, for instance. Even the most macho, butch character gets makeup, to prevent from looking washed out and so that facial expressions can be seen. I don't care how good an actor could be, he has to wear makeup and lots of it; if not the people in the cheap seats have no idea what is going on (well, depending on the venue, they
still might not have any idea....)
