Hi Gabi, I can understand if you don't like the concept of cultures and the World as a unified place. so can I ask:what culture are you apart of? Do you remember celebrating holidays as a child? What did you do? Who are your heroes? Every human being is part of a culture one way or another, it is unavoidable. In order to answer those questions, you address the culture for which you are apart. I recogize the beauty of globalization but I won't minimize cultural genocide no matter who does it.

Oh I like culture for enjoyment and learning - I just don't like it as a divisive thing and you have hit on why.
I'm the proverbial mishmash - I had a little very early Christian as in celebrate the major holidays but that's about it. I've lived all across three different countries and don't hold any culture personally precious.
If I did maybe I would feel differently about it but by the same token I have a somewhat unique take on objectivity about certain aspects of it. It's the same old story - you lack some things and get a little something different for it.
How do you feel about a culture keeping aspects/traditions that are not so good/useful anymore and how do you think they should be incoorporated as the culture progresses? I think this is where things get tricky.
