Hi Gabi, I can understand if you don't like the concept of cultures and the World as a unified place. so can I ask:what culture are you apart of? Do you remember celebrating holidays as a child? What did you do? Who are your heroes? Every human being is part of a culture one way or another, it is unavoidable. In order to answer those questions, you address the culture for which you are apart. I recogize the beauty of globalization but I won't minimize cultural genocide no matter who does it.
Hi Rico, When I discuss the "West" I'm ot talking about cowboys and Indians.
Specifically, l'm referring to the social, economic and legal philosophies descended from Aristotle to the Papacy to Descartes and Nietsche. It's perspective elevates individualism over community, it's a different mind set so to speak. IMO it's no better or worse than any other ideal. It is what it is.
