There are just so many events in the UK now, all competing for the dancers' £s. I really think we're reaching saturation point. There's JoY twice a year now (quality festival), Raqs Britannia (no thanks, Miles), Fantasia(overcrowded), Majma and the new festival Sirocco (set up by the old advisers), Maria's hosting Randa in May, there's a new festival in Devon in June with Yasmina, Shafeek, Maria, Fereshteh...plus smaller festivals springing up all over the country. Is it raising standards?
